Does it work in my DAW?

Chord Flow works in all major DAWs that support VST3 or AU plugins — including FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Studio One and Pro Tools. It runs through a free plugin called Ripchord, which supports AU and VST3 on Mac, and VST3 on Windows.

Please note: Maschine, MPC Live and Reason are not supported at this time.

Do I need music theory?

No music theory required. Chord Flow is built specifically for producers who want professional-sounding chord progressions without having to study theory. Every chord is already mapped and ready — you press one key and a full chord plays instantly. If you do know music theory, that's a bonus, but it's never a requirement.

Do I need a MIDI keyboard?

No MIDI keyboard needed. You can trigger chords directly from your computer keyboard or using your DAW's piano roll. A MIDI keyboard makes the experience more hands-on and fun, but it's completely optional — Chord Flow works either way.

Can I export the chords as MIDI?

Yes. Ripchord lets you export any chord or progression directly as a MIDI file. You can drag it straight into your DAW, edit individual notes, change voicings, or build a full arrangement around it. Full creative control — the chords are a starting point, not a limitation.

Yes, Chord Flow works on both PC and Mac. Ripchord supports VST3 on Windows and both AU and VST3 on Mac. It's compatible with all major DAWs on both operating systems.
